MLXRead is free and open-source software released under the MIT License. By downloading, building, or using it, you agree to these terms.
License
- MLXRead is licensed under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and redistribute it under those terms. The full license text ships with the source and the app.
- Third-party components (the MLX libraries, Sparkle, and the downloaded voice models) are covered by their own licenses, listed in the project's THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.
No warranty
- The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The authors are not liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from its use, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- MLXRead requires macOS Accessibility permission to read the current selection and to receive its keyboard shortcut. You grant that permission yourself; the app never changes your system settings for you.
Acceptable use
- Use MLXRead only with text you have the right to access. You are responsible for how you use it.
- MLXRead is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple. "macOS" and "Apple Silicon" are trademarks of Apple Inc.
